Abstract

This includes a brief paragraph summary of what you did, why you did it, and what your

            findings were.

Section I: Introduction

This includes a brief summary of the experiment or laboratory investigation, what you

were testing or observing, what were your expected results, and what you think those

            results may prove.

Section II: Materials

This should be a complete list of all equipment and materials used.

Section III: Methods

Describe in detail exactly what, when, and how you completed the experiment or

observation. Include measurements, amounts, and the exact procedures you used.

Section IV: Results

Describe the results of your experiment or observation. Give as many details as you can,

but provide only the facts you observed, not your interpretations of the results.

Section V: Discussion

In this section you can speculate on what the results you described in the Results section

mean. Why do you think you obtained the results you did? What do the observations you

made mean? What are your interpretations of the results of this experiment or

            observation?

Section VI: Conclusions

Summarize the experiment or observation, its results, and conclusions, in narrative form.

Include a bit about how your results or observations be used in future experiments.
